BEHIND THE SCENES

Last Year the Trust published a new five year business plan and announced the intention to create a Centenary Endowment Fund.

Since the announcement a great deal of work has been going on behind the scenes to launch the fund. Les Patterson, Mick Young and Peter Gould have put together a compelling application for catalyst funding, this was submitted at the end of February, receipt has been acknowledged and we will know the outcome of the application in May.

The appointment of Rebecca Holme, a third year student from the Marketing course at the University of Northampton, as an intern to work on two fund raising projects, bequest and corporate packages is complete, Rebecca has produced strategies and leaflets for both these projects.

The Trust has organised and will hold the London launch of the Centenary Fund at the House of Commons on April 23rd designed to raise our profile in London and to win support for the Fund.

On the back of all the work that has been done we are entering The East Midlands Museum Awards, the category entered is, Award for Resilience and Innovation, how we produced our business plan and the application for Catalyst funding.

To keep us in the public eye Les has also entered us into the Lottery Awards and finalists will be mentioned on TV. We hope that the fruit of all these labours will be positive and that the Centenary Fund is launched in style.
