If travelling from the East - A45 - the Midsummer Meadow car park: [ NN1 5NX ] avoids having to enter the town's one way system; 10 mins walk across the park to 78 Derngate. Two other nearby multi storey car parks are St Johns [ NN1 1HA ] and St Michael's [ NN1 3HR ] - both 10 mins walk. Free parking is available at certain times - current car park charge information can be found on the Northampton Borough Council website.

There is no parking available on-site at 78 Derngate though pick up and drop off from the street nearby is possible for visitors with limited mobility.

Northampton Railway Station: London Northwestern Railway offers direct services from London Euston, Milton Keynes and Birmingham to Northampton. This location is a twenty minute walk, via gentle upward inclines, to 78 Derngate.

Taxis are available at the station: ask for "The Charles Rennie Mackintosh House - 78 Derngate, on the corner of Derngate and Victoria Promenade by Becket's Park".

Buses into Northampton stop here or on-street in The Drapery (adjacent).
