78 Derngate is not just a wonderful historic house. There are two private function rooms that can be booked for daytime meetings and functions.

The venue can also be hired outside of visitor opening hours for parties, wedding receptions, and tour & dinner packages - the choice is yours.

The Dining Room restaurant can take evening bookings for parties of 15-28 people for sit-down meals or more for stand-up buffets and parties.

The Boardroom

With seating for a maximum of 20 delegates, the Boardroom is a stylish upstairs room offering a very private setting with spectacular views.

With black chairs, boardroom-style table and white walls, the Boardroom is ideal for formal meetings.

The Boardroom is situated on the top floor, up two flights of stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.

The Dining Room can offer a range of refreshments to suit your requirements.

The Bassett-Lowke Rooms

A more informal space spanning three areas, The Bassett-Lowke Rooms are perfect for less private meetings, gatherings, parties and workshops.

With trestle tables and light wooden chairs, The Bassett-Lowke Rooms offer a flexible space. Chairs can be arranged theatre-style to seat a maximum of 25. Up to 40 people can enjoy a stand up drinks reception, coffee or buffet.

This room is partially wheelchair accessible.

Atrium & Outside

Entertain your guests in this beautiful light-filled atrium. Both the atrium and outside space can be hired for evening functions only. Ideal for summer parties and receptions.

Room Hire and Venue Hire Prices

Half day room hire for the Board Room and Bassett-Lowke Rooms: £75+VAT for up to 4 hours

Full day 9am to 5pm: £150+VAT

Evening Function Hire: from £190+VAT
