Things are happening in the kitchen

The Trustees and Friends of 78 Derngate have commissioned a craftsman to make replicas of the dresser and side table in the kitchen.  You can see them in the picture above.

We are lucky in that the original table has survived and is back in the house but we have always felt that the kitchen is quite sparsely furnished, which is a bit disappointing as it is the first room visitors see.

The Friends of 78 Derngate have always been keen to add new objects and artefacts into 78 Derngate.  In recent years, amongst other things, we have commissioned replica guest bedroom furniture and purchased original Bassett-Lowke designed pieces for the dining room and main bedroom.

A big thank you to all our Friends who have helped to make this possible.
