Contemporary Ceramics

April sees the opening of Contemporary Ceramics.

Featuring some of the finest contemporary ceramic artists including Chris Keenan, whose rocking bowls are featured above (picture credit Michael Harvey ), Susan Disley, Sara Moorhouse, Louisa Taylor, Wendy Hoare and Finola Delamere.

Louisa Taylor's charming mustard pots & spoons will be displayed with other pieces of her work including  her Colour Response Nest of Pots and mini vases all in her signature colourful glazes.

Contemporary Ceramics opens on Saturday 24th April and runs up to and including Sunday 18th July. All work will be available to purchase.

The 78 Derngate showcase, a hand-picked selection of some of Northamptonshire's finest artists, is now open.

 

Featuring the work of Chris Prout, Barbara Hatton, Mary Rodgers, Liz Anelli (whose work is featured above), Sheila Manwaring, Louise Metcalfe and Mark Puryer.

This summer the streets of Northampton are home to a pride of beautifully decorated lion sculptures. One of which has been inspired by the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

 On display until September 5th, the Pride of Northampton has brought 40 lions roaring into town. The Pride has been developed by Northampton Borough Council in partnership with the arts and education company Wild in Art and is being supported by local businesses and schools.
