Bassett-Lowke Society working model display

Easter 2011.

The Bassett-Lowke Society mounted a large working model display of original Bassett-Lowke locomotives at 78 Derngate.

 A great opportunity to meet the Bassett-Lowke Society team of experts within 78 Derngate: The Charles Rennie Mackintosh House & Galleries in Northampton, the home of Wenman Joseph Bassett-Lowke, the creator of the Bassett-Lowke collection of perfect scale model boats, trains and more.

 During the Easter weekend of Saturday 23rd April, Easter Day, Sunday 24th and Bank Holiday Monday 25th April 2011, the Bassett-Lowke Society showed a collection of B-L model engines and rolling stock from pre-1920s right up to the 50s.

Kimbolton chairs

We are very excited to have on display at the moment some chairs designed by 6th Form students from Kimbolton School in Cambridgeshire.

The chairs are copies of those from The Hill House.
